ORANDO Holdings Sdn Bhd views its winning of the ESQR Best Quality Leadership Award as part of its efforts to help Malaysia’s economic growth.

Fresh from receiving the title from the European Society for Quality Research, the company says it intends to use its projects to put the nation’s property development industry on the global map.

“As a responsible developer, the key point is to ensure the country’s growth. If the country succeeds, the property industry will follow suit,” said Orando Holdings managing director Datuk Dr Eng Wei Chun.

To drive the industry, Dr Eng said every development project must communicate status, quality and value, while keeping customer preferences firmly in mind.

“I build homes that meet Swiss-watch standards. This attracts both investors and buyers,” he said.

Dr Eng said to meet standards, each of the company’s projects adheres to various quality control measures and features.

“For instance, we build with Sirim-certified materials and introduce different concepts, such as sky gardens, one-unit two-homes, and multi-purpose yards, to each project. 

“We also take it upon ourselves to manage and maintain the entire housing development and its surroundings after completing the project for the owners,” he said, adding that these traits ensure the products continue to appreciate in value in the long run.
