UDA Holdings records RM142m property sales

KUALA LUMPUR: UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA) recorded RM142mil in gross sales of 201 property units in three locations in Peninsular Malaysia during its U4RIA “UDA Gallery of Home” property carnival campaign in December 2014.
Its group managing director, Ahmad Abu Bakar said on Thursday the property market demand was still encouraging and on the upward trend based on the sales achieved.
“We are pleased to be able to surpass our initial sales target of RM136.2mil,” he said of the campaign which was held concurrently at UDA’s subsidiaries in Klang Valley (UDA Land Central Sdn Bhd), Northern (UDA Land North Sdn Bhd), Southern (UDA Land South Sdn Bhd) and in Eastern (UDA Land East Sdn Bhd).
Thirty-one single-storey bungalows Florissa 1 and 2 in the Northern region were sold at RM588,000 each out of the sales target of 20 units.
“Overall, the sales of 80 property units out of the targetted 69 units worth RM56mil in the Penang indicates market enthusiasm for landed residential units as well as three and four storey shop-offices,” he said.
In the Klang valley, the Avenue 4 and Lake Vista Residence in Lake Valley, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn drew positive response and recorded RM19.7mil gross sales.
“Buyers are attracted to the landed and spacious residential units, the amenities offered and its strategic location within the Klang Valley,” h added.
UDA Land (South) Sdn Bhd in Johor achieved RM51.8mil with the sale of 78 landed property units, with the double-storey gated and guarded Rosa Terraces in Bandar Utama leading the sales.
UDA Land (East) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Terengganu saw encouraging sales of RM14.5mil, exceeding the sale target of  RM8.3mil.
Due to U4RIA’s success where UDA was able to reach out and touch-base with its consumers, UDA will be hosting more events of this nature to promote and market its product, along with new property developments.
“We will, of course, offer our prospective house buyers the same; if not more attractive promotional discount packages in UDA’s future property carnival campaigns,” said Ahmad Abu Bakar.
